Music buyers are not alone in the belief that they should be free to choose how they listen to their purchases.

The Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA), the Australian Music Publishers Association and Screenrights have expressed the view after a survey by Immedia of about 200 musicians and songwriters earlier in the week.
Personally I would rather pay less for copy protected CDs. Surely the cost per unit is covered by the increase of sales of the CD's that can't be copied?
If there is no measurable difference in numbers sold – why "Copy protect" them in the first place?
