Commemorating the demise of Google Reader

From my personal perspective the web came to life when I started consuming the RSS feeds of blogs I enjoyed to read. For a web junky like me, with a browser choking on bookmarks, feeds saved time previously spent re-loading unchanged web pages. I spent this ‘spare’ time to find yet more blogs whose feeds were worthy of subscription.

A few days ago Google announced the date of Google Reader’s last day. I believe what moves to fill this vacuum is going to be an improvement not a step backwards.

To express my optimism for our feed driven future I’m celebrating with a revival of my blog. Stay tuned.
