Splitting the Atom

Using my Template Variables Theme has highlighted significant inconsistencies between how folks are configuring their blog feeds. I for one have never spent the time to learn the function of the fields offered by RSS or Atom as such. I’m unsure even as to where I would definitely link to reference the Atom standard.

I imagine most folks do what I did, copy pasting a template that spits out the XML before moving on to other things. Whatever works.

Anyway, I saw some empty fields in the ollicle.com feed and felt compelled to fill them. Mistakes were made, fortunately the W3C Feed Validation Service had my back.
