View source in NetNewsWire with xmp

The other day I stumbled on the MDN page for the <xmp> HTML element. I immediately thought of my use the even weirder deprecated <plaintext> element in my Template Variables NetNewsWire theme.

Both elements come with the stern warning:

Deprecated: This feature is no longer recommended. Though some browsers might still support it, it may have already been removed from the relevant web standards, may be in the process of being dropped, or may only be kept for compatibility purposes. Avoid using it, and update existing code if possible; see the compatibility table at the bottom of this page to guide your decision. Be aware that this feature may cease to work at any time.

I don’t know why we don’t have an officially condoned view source element, but for the job of providing a crude feed view source within NetNewsWire, <xmp> is an improvement. I’ve updated the theme accordingly.
