Save

In the computer suite at Uni, my class mates and I established a habit of calling “Save” when we hit Command-s.

This was the late 90’s. System 8 on a Mac running graphic design software was hairy. Absorbed in the design process, it was frightfully easy to spend hours kerning or cycling through your collection of dubiously sourced fonts, when crash, it was gone!

Reminding each other to save was a public good.

Anyway, just so you know, I’m running a back-up of my Mac right now. You should too.
